ah yeah, freaking times... Owen is also from the united states of whatever... we almost never see him. But when we meet it's a fest I can tell you ;-)
If you can't get your stuff set up right, you can always pm most of our members and get our msn/icq numbers, I'm not here this weekend but I'm pretty sure the guys are going to help you get vent running!
No Problem, Falke, I'm pretty sure you've finished the race! I'll upload the replays tonight, maybe a bit later than usual because me and my girl are going to cinema first ;-) ... looking at gay pirates.
The RGT pro is belt driven, and that's great because you almost can't hear it! I've got the old 2 pedal version and I'm happy with it! If you are able to drive with your wheel, not handling it like a blacksmith, it's the best you can get IMO. There are so many problems with the dfp concerning almost every aspect, be it calibrating, getting it to run on a pc, binding buttons without losing all again, pedal bugs, ...............etc. etc..
I've had problems with a broken shifter after playing 1 1/2 years every day with my rgt. I've mailed thrustmaster, they repaired it and within 1 week the wheel was back. Also it doesn't get loose and feels just nice after years of playing.

EDIT: you might have a look at my wheel... a bit modified...
Well, I hereby appollogize for this stupid mistake.... Since the last week was pretty much f***ing me off and many bad things happened I was happy to get a bit of relaxation racing with you guys... and f***ed it all up again by having my head somewhere else. This won't happen anymore, promised!
We don't use test patches for the league, we're going to use patch x as soon as it's released.
We are not going to add any handycaps or restrictions though, we're upgrading only to keep compatibility, so you don't have to keep one W-version to play the league and one X to connect to pickup-race-servers.
replays of round 2 are available now under the link posted above. Unfortunately atm there are only div 2 replays available, div 1 should follow tonight.
I just want to spam this thread, but don't know how...
I just say no to rl mass production cars in lfs, and to people who cannot even do a skin for the xrt but cry around all the time. Also I dislike kids, who want other people to be the exact same opinion than they are... who don't allow another opinion on things.
Driftstar, look at all the other "I want an rx7"-threads. comment on those and FGS keep your whiney mouth shut.
Make a rx7-skin, or download one of the 345 trillions, this should make you happy. If not, get lost or play something else.
I'm quarter polish, quarter switzerlandonian (:-)) and half german, and seeing this thread makes me look like an angry samoan. Thanks to the Highjackers of this thread I can still smile!
There are few things I hate more than hard barriers.
But tyres fly around and hit "innocent" cars, and with any kind of soft barriers there will be cutting involved. Once the tyres are gone I believe everyone will cut straight, one begins, all the others "cut to stay close to the guy that cut initially". This is maybe the only thing I hate more than hard barriers.
Sorry for that! I was spectating LV drift and some others for a while, constantly typing in warnings and s**t. This guy started jumping the hills, reversing, i gave him many friendly warnings in the beginning. I believe there were a few bad noobs amongst us. Next time something like this happens just give one of us a shout and the bad guy might be kicked/banned much earlier!
booooooooooooooooooooorn in a uf one, I was... boooooooooooooooooooorn......
lol
With the layouts installed you have to be really really careful though! The barriers won't forgive any mistakes, they could even make you div-1-full-throttle-shredders lift if there is someone next to you. Those who drive into the bales accidentally (and under full braking) will receive no damage, those who try to overtake using the crowbar will fly like little uf angels.
I think the best opportunity to overtake is still falling behind before the 90° right hander, gain speed on the downwards chicane, carry that speed through last corner and getting the guy on the straight.
Even if I had no soldering talent or knowledge of electrics at all I'd rather fix the damn thing than waiting months to get a new one!
Or I would have been more careful...
Open the wheel (might be a few screws to loosen first) and get rid of the moving thing in it. Then buy yourself a power jack similar to the one on your wheel's psu, cut the power line and fix the new plug with a soldering iron. You might want to put several layers of iso tape, then gaffer tape around the cable to prevent it from breaking again.
Or... if it's the red momo, just send it to me ;-)
Good luck repairing that damn thing!!
I've been to a local rally event for years now, marshals seem to be at every dangerous corner. Before the first pre-drivers come along (this year it was Walther Röhrl on a Porsche 953!!!) a car with a big red flag clears the track. If you try to cross the street after red flag you might get into trouble with a marshal near you.
I've never heard anything about whistles... would be stupid, hearing a whistle blow every minute, don't you think?
IMO it is stupid to cross the track during a race, those cars and drivers are always a bit above their limits and NOT trained to let people cross in front of them.
I feel sorry for the pilots of the car, those guys might be shocked for life, maybe never able to drive fast again.
You're right! This mistake would have lead us to a wrong points table if you guys wouldn't have been that attentive. I'd like to advise you to stay as alert everytime the official results are being posted, because most of us (zwr) are new to league hosting, we haven't done any points calculating before.
Let's treat this as a beginner's fault and I hope to do better next time :-)

PS: Paul, I especially thank you for posting unofficial results. That way we always have someone to compare our results with.
